Contact form

Data collected: name, email address, message, the work concerned where applicable, and the language of the page.

Purpose: to answer requests for information.

Legal basis: steps taken at the request of the person prior to entering into a contract, when the request concerns the purchase of a work, and Guy Ferrer's legitimate interest in answering other requests.

Recipients: each request is sent by email to Guy Ferrer, with a copy to White Cat Stratégie, which assists him in selling his works. Messages are delivered through the guyferrer.com email service at the website's host, OVH SAS (OVHcloud), acting as a processor. Messages are then received in Guy Ferrer's Gmail mailbox, an email service provided by Google, and in White Cat Stratégie's mailbox, hosted in France. Google LLC, a US company, is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, which covers this transfer of data outside the European Union. No message is stored on the website itself.

Retention period: messages are kept in the mailboxes of Guy Ferrer and White Cat Stratégie for as long as needed to handle the request, then for no more than three years after the last exchange.

Protection against automated submissions: a field invisible to visitors, a minimum time to fill in the form and a limit on the number of submissions per connection, without any third-party service. For this limit, the website keeps a non-reversible fingerprint of the IP address and the time of the submissions. Data older than 60 minutes is erased no later than the next time a form is submitted.

Data collected: email address.

Purpose: to send Guy Ferrer's newsletter.

Legal basis: consent, confirmed by a validation message sent to the address provided.

Recipients: Guy Ferrer and White Cat Stratégie. The subscriber list is managed by Brevo, an email service provider acting as a processor.

Unsubscribing: at any time, through the link included in each newsletter.

Retention period: the address is kept for as long as the person is subscribed. After unsubscribing, it is kept only on a suppression list at Brevo, so that the person is never written to again.

Audience measurement

The website measures its traffic with Matomo, installed on its own hosting. Matomo is set up without cookies and without storing anything in the browser, in line with the conditions defined by the CNIL (the French data protection authority) for exemption from consent: the data is used only to produce anonymous traffic statistics on behalf of the website, and is neither combined with other processing nor shared with third parties. IP addresses are anonymised upon collection (last two bytes masked).

Data measured: pages viewed, referring page, type of device and browser, approximate country, and a few actions on the website (request for information, contact form sent, newsletter subscription, click to Facebook or Instagram).

Retention period: 25 months at most, the maximum period recommended by the CNIL.

Cookies

The website sets no audience measurement or advertising cookies.

Data hosting

The website is hosted by OVH SAS (OVHcloud), in data centres located in France.

The newsletter subscriber list is hosted by Brevo in the European Union.

Your rights

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the French Data Protection Act, you have the right to access, rectify and erase your data, to restrict or object to its processing, and to data portability, as well as the right to withdraw your consent at any time.
